Default y7 oil pan on y8?

hey guys i'm putting a tapped y7 oil pan on my y8 motor. Does anybody know if i will need a different oil pickup tube like from the y7? This is what i read somewhere else.

Are you sure the Y7 pan will even fit? I know the Z6 and Y8 oil pans are not compatible.

Yes, it will work. I put a y8 pan on my y7 block. I know you've got the tapped Y7 pan already, but the y8 pan is about 100x better, and it's thick enough to simply screw in a tap. I know, that's what I did. Couldn't be happier.

I also can confirm the fitment. y7 and y8 oil pans are interchangeable.

I'll confirm as well, actually SOHC_MSHUE and My self just finished the project, the pan fits great ! and the turbo sounds sweet!!!

yea too bad i can't even boost yet . The stupid boost program for my ecu must be set up for bigger injectors than I have and it won't run correctly.

I have a Z6 pan on my turbo Y8. You just have to drill out two holes a bit to get it to fit flush.
