Default Wtf is the problem? no one knows and its getting really annoying

i built a 2 liter gsr turbo. motor was sleeved, when we put it together the first time it overheated and blew the headgasket, we took it apart, and it turns out one of the sleeves dropped about 4 thoiusandths, so we resurfaced the head and block, making sure everything was perfectly flat, put it together and it ran fine for about a week, now its doing it again...

Once the sleeve starts to drop, whats going to stop it from continuing? you need to send it back and have it re-sleeved

This is caused by improper sleeving.

The machine shop either over bored the block or they just didnt do the sleeving right.

Take it back to them and tell them that you want it done correctly.

im guessing the sleeve work was done locally by a company that said they sleeve blocks all the time. only 3 companies in america i trust to sleeve block, definitely get it dont by a reputable company that sleeves honda blocks every day.

Im sure you're running more power with the turbo over your all motor setup. More power is harder on the engine causing problems like this that werent there before

They don't chamfer the edges the sleeves sit on below, and don't chill the sleeves enough to get them down far enough. Think of putting a drywall screw (countersunk angled head) into a non-countersunk hole. It will stick up because the lip catches the screw. Similar principal here, the sleeve's lip down below is not contacting the block - in your case it was at least 4 thou's higher.

The boost could have doubled the cylinder pressure in there, pushing the head from the sleeve. Since the head wouldn't move, the sleeve did.
