wow... didn't know an oil leak could look so bad
i have oil dripping from my oil return line. at first i thought i had a blown headgasket or bad turbo seals. upon closer inspection today i finally figured out that the burning oil smell came from the oil burning off of the downpipe. while inside the car the smoke also came up from the shift boot. it looked like a little volcano erupting

Maybe it's a blessing it disguise, because if the downpipe was not positioned right under the oil return fitting it might have leaked to more lower levels and that would be extremely bad. I'm just glad it wasn't that head gasket, because youv'e just started to enjoy boosting.

I hate leaky oil return lines... I REALLY HOPE this idea of making a stainless steel/AN fitting return line goes through on this board.... LOTS of us really could use/need it.

i dont know how the leak happened. it is a small leak so my oil level is still high but i am burning enough to make clouds of smoke behind me. its more noticable on hotter days. one thing about my turbo... i broke loose for the first time today. i was drivng at 4k rpm in first gear at partial throttle, i went full throttle and the tires spun big time. its never happened before, and i loved knowing i had that much power on tap.
