Default would you worry? b20b turbo

i have a JDM b20b engine with a garrett t25 (from a rwd sr20set motor). Making 8psi on an internal wastegate, 450cc dsm injectors, hard pipes , front mount intercooler. It running on a chipped p28 right now. In a DA integra. Would you worry about the sleeves cracking? Does this seem like a reliable setup? The car pulls great right now. I know i should probably get a tune. Anyone know of any good ways to street tune yourself? Im really new to tuning. Just a good mechanic that knows to send out his ecu at least before running boost.

The reason the B20s fail boosted is because they are single piece design. When they get hot they expand unevenly and crack. If you keep the boost low and give adequate cooling between runs/pulls i think it will be ok.

No questions asked, get that baby tuned. On a borderline setup, the tune makes all the difference. $300-$400 for a tune is cheap compared to a new engine and all the labor.

I have been running stock block B20 for almost a year on 14 pounds no problems at all. The tuning is the key. All this b20 is gonna blow up after 5 pounds is bull. Like anything it will blow if its not tuned or tuned poorly.

gave up my b20/vtec for an ls bottom end.. but I was shooting for 500+ on stock sleeves..

Yes they could still crack, but I have 3 extra rods & pistons, and an extra block sitting around. So im good to go..
