Default Would you guys recommend a b18c for turbo

Im going to be getting a b18c for my 92 ls. I am considering running it on my stock ls tranny. Ive heard this is a good turbo setup but what do you guys think? BTW will i have to modify my ls turbo manifold to fit the vtec motor? Will anything on the motor have to be relocated? Any other suggestions about the swap you guys have? I am planning for just a solid street setup at around 6-8psi. Thanks for listening!

gsr motor and gsr or type r tranny. ls is good if your pushing 350 hsp or more(which you aren't planning). you do not need the longer gearing of an ls tranny on the street with 6-8lbs of boost.

Yep im probably going to be ditching the ls motor. Im sick of the ****** not working. Actually i broke down that night after we had the meet in berkely, and my car has been sitting ever since. It just cranks and cranks but wont fire up. Ive tried another new distributer, checked the timing belt, pulled the valve cover off, checked for fuel pressure, checked the fuses, anything else it could be guys? I would like to at least get this motor running before i go swap it out.

BTW: about the ls tranny, do you think at only 6-8psi the gsr motor wouldnt have enough power to turn it? I understand that it would be great on a high horsepower car, but would i lose performance if i was only going for 215 fwhp?

Thanks guys
