I have never tried area51, nor importbuilders, but my car was dynoed at Atomic, and strictly by Charles. I give a big thumbs up to him.

On the other hand, personal biased opinion says "up yours" to importbuilders, specifically to Jeff.

hmmm, i expected a lot more responses. why does everyone on this board recommend importbuilders then if they absolutely have NO experience with their services, products, and customer service.

Jeff has tuned quite a few friends` cars and did a good job. Can`t go wrong w/ Charles either. Who has the cheaper rates?

Ill say this, tuning an Vafc etc.....on an all motor car I say go for it. When it comes to tuning hondata, dfi, speedpro etc...... I cant vouch for em. Why dont you just give em a call and ask what they can do for you. Remeber this, Dont let the guy tuning your car learn from his mistakes at your expense. Good luck to you.

good advice and feeback from you and others. are you referring to importbuilders or Area 51 as far as not letting them tune a standalone?

Jeff has a lot of experience with the hondata. He has worked with the hondata guys for awhile now and knows how to tune there system. I don't even think Area 51 is a hondata dealer. Jeff is fully setup to not only tune on the road, but on the dyno as well.

Go to importbuilders for hondata tuning, area 51 doesn't do hondata. Its $100/hour for IB and $150/hour for Area 51. I also would recommend dynamics.

Area 51 tunes hondata. i called and asked but, i'm not sure how much experience they have with hondata and it's a lot for tuning at Area 51: $175/hr. i also tried dynamic but, they don't tune hondatas.

does anyone know anything about R&D dyno in torrance/gardena

charles @ area 51 can tune hondata.. i believe he used to be with atomic, and then import builders then left them to go 2 area 51.

How do you figure? Atomics building is the building IB is in right now. It was a partnership between Charlie and Jeff. Jeff opened IB (which was Atomic to begin with) when Charles left to do his own thing. Cmon people need to learn the details instead of acting like they know. By the way Area51 is now closed so no more tuning since we bought their dyno.
