Default worth it or time bomb? need sleeve help

I am looking for a motor and was told I could have this ls for free. Poped off the head and find this. running the car with lack of coolant ate away at the top of the sleeves in a few spots but only the out side layer of AL. The inside I guess iron part is fine. Now my question is will the lack of outside layer in a few spots weaken it or is that layer just for heat transfer? could I weld it back up to fix it? Will that hurt the head gasket seal? It will be boosted to the tune of 300ish.

re welded i dont think so, i think the heating then cooling / contraction will warp it. but i am not a machinist.

oh sorry I know the heat will warp it a bit but a bore and hone is alot cheaper then a resleeve. Does it need to be done at all? I mean I dont see it as weaker now as its at the top but will a headgasket seal is what im thinking.

the head gasket is what i would be worried about. there is less for it to bite to.
