wont pass 4.5 rpm
help my car wont pass 4.5k rpm with turbo on, as soon as it reaches 4.5k rpm the cel comes on and it sputters and strains to go any further, without the turbo it drives pefectly. its a gsr motor with a t3/t4 turbo.

The ECU is going into limp mode because the MAP isn't designed to see positive pressure. This problem was solved about 25 years ago. Use some sort of proper engine management.

on a similar note i have the same problem with the OP.
and i do have a ericks p28 with hondata s100. previous owner ran it with no problems on his 98 ex. my car is a 99 ex. so I pretty much just transfered a working kit from one car to mine.
and like the OP, mine doesnt go past 4.2k rpm
what could be wrong? i dont have a cel either.

If there is no CEL then it isn't in limp mode. The tune is probably just way off or there is a electronic problem elsewhere. Basically all you can rule out is the ECU in that case.

mine is supposedly already tuned with the kit that i have.
i also have a missing link laying around(although i think i dont need it) but when i put it on the motor dies.

thats the problem, there are no tuners in my area. if theres a write up on tuningi could probably do it myself. right now im running off my afc

as long as you have a wideband tuning the fuel is simple. its just the timing thats tricky to do unless your on a dyno and know wat to look for
