wondering about clutch engagement
I am running 5 pounds with a GReddy kit on my 98 Civic, and plan to turn the boost up to 10 within the next couple weeks. I am going to order a new clutch, to use with the stock flywheel. It will be a Clutchmasters, however I am unsure of whether a stage 3, 4, or 5 would be the most appropriate for this daily driver of mine. I'd prefer not to get something which will instantly engage, leaving me with a helluva frustrating time getting around town. I've made up my mind about the brand, I'm only asking with regards to the stage. Which do y'all recommend?

Re: wondering about clutch engagement (NewOldSkoolr)
Not sure of what the Clutchmasters brand's stage breakdown is, but I use a "Spec" stage 3 pressure plate with a 6 puck sprung disc. Pedal pressure is very stock feeling (Hydrolic) and it has a little play. Takes some getting used to as the springs in the disc are much stiffer than stock, so paired with a much grippier compound the car would shudder if I didn't have engagement just right during normal driving. It only took about a day driving to get it to grab un-noticeably in traffic and used to the new foot feel. It is by far a dream compared to the centerforce dual PP I had. My experience may differ slightly though due to the ACT pro-lite chrome-moly flywheel I'm using.
