Wiseco Pistons sitting too high

Wiseco Pistons sitting too high
I'm currently in the middle of having my F22 engine built and my tuner has put in my CAT Power Rods and Wiseco pistons but the pistons sit 1mm higher then the deck?
Anyone had this problem?
My tuner said it is fine to shave 1mm off of the pistons is this ok?

cutting them is completly retarded, that not only will throw off the balance of the piston but also cut down the strength. Run a thicker head gasket with some copper spray and you should be ok

I purchased Scat Rods and Wiseco pistons for the F22 engine.
The engine in my Accord is the F22Z1 which you don't have in the US but is pretty similar to the F22B1.
The bore size and the stroke are identical so I would have thought the rods and the pistons would be too.
As no one has much knowledge of the F22Z1 it's quite hard to get a definitive answer.

Is the deck height the same between the 2 engines? I dont know, just trying to give you some things to check into. Are you sure the rod and pistons are right? I've gotten stuff that has been mispackaged/mislabled.

pretty sure all the f22's have the same deck height. actually i think pretty much all h and f's have the same deck height (minus s2k).
i would look into other problems, such as the wrong parts.

Wrong parts could be a possibilty but with nothing to cross reference them with it's hard to tell.

really thats odd because I called them about making one for my f22b1 and they told me they did not and do not plan on making one for it... this was a few months ago.
I had to have GE work their magic on a stock headgasket.
As for the original question... sounds like the wrong rods. I would be will to bet you got h22 rods... esp. since last time I checked scat does not make an f22 rod (or an h23 rod which would be the same). Just for reference h22 rods are 1.5mm longer than f22/ h23 rods if I remember correctly.

well those are an odd length because they are .5mm longer than a f22/ h23 but 1mm shorter than an h22... 
I wonder if they just were rounding up the measurements or what the real deal is... cause 5.588 is to long and thus it obviously does not match the stock rod length.
I would call scat if possible and ask them about what rods they offer for an f22/ h23 honda motor... then ask them the exact length they are cause I dont see a listing for f22/ h23 rods at all on their site currently. Was there any part numer stamped on the rods or the box that can be cross referenced?

Just been speaking to the guys at http://www.raceeng.com and they have said that the reason why your Wiseco pistons are sitting 1mm too high is because "they are made that way so they can be skimmed to fit flush with the deck"
Make of that what you will.

well thats new to me... I have not used wiseco pistons before personally so I dont know what to make of that part. I am as confused as you now.
well if those specs are right on the ebay auction your rods are about .5mm to long as well.
