Wilson throttle bodies

I'm doing some research on throttle bodies and cold-side ic piping and I came across the Wilson TB. I like what they say about it on their site, looks like good quality and nice design but it fits mustangs. I've read stuff about adapters on this site for mustang-to-honda TB's. How much of a hassle is this adapter? How much space does it take up or where can I see a spec on it or something? Furthermore, has anyone used Wilson throttle body? BTW I have an old style STR intake manifold.

from what I have seen with mustang 70mm throttle bodies an adaptor plate is needed, then the throttle pulley needs to be modified to accept the honda throttle cable. I have never done this i have only seen one done in person so there could be a better way to do. Good luck and hope that helped some what.

Not to be a jerk.. but you do know they have up to 76 mm throttle bodies for hondas that bolt up with no problems.. i've seen 80 aswell
What would be the advantage to running a large bore mustang tb compared to a large bore honda tb?

yes thank you. i don't want poorly designed/built units that have sticking problems and don't make any difference in performance. i do, however, like quality engineered and designed units like the Wilson stuff which will actually make a difference.

wilson TB's are real nice. most of the big stock bolt battern honda TB's suck.

on a FI induction motor, IMO, the tb doesnt need to be real big.

mike you should buy a wilson TB and bring the car here we can adapt the adaptor to angle the TB to take some bends out of your IC piping and give you more room to work with.
