Alright so I'm going to have my girlfriends father weld in these 2 3/8's aluminum bungs into the back of my valve cover for my catch can setup. My question is about the inside were the baffling is. I had to drill through the baffling to a bit to get the hole big enough for the bungs. So I just cut the baffling and bent it up a little to kinda block the holes. It's different then in the picture. That is right after I cut it. I pounded it back down flat and used needle nose pliers just to bend the very end up a bit. Gonna have the cuts welded back shut also. Is this good enough or should I have him weld in 2 strips of aluminum flat stock instead? I've read through the vented valve cover thread and found no real answer to my question.This is on a daily driven boosted dc integra. Making around 270-280 on 12lbs.

I imagine that if the cuts are bent back down and welded it should act like any other bunged valve cover for ventilation.

Are you feeding the catch can back into the block for draining just in case?

It will be fine, not that much oil will be tossed up there anyways.

Yeah I"m just going to weld all but the last 1/4" and bend that part up. I have the fittings for the back of the block but when I put the car up on the lift I'm not sure how to get to them. So much stuff in the way. Might just pull the intake manifold that seems like the easiest route. For now no drain back until I figure that part out.

I figured it would be alright just wanted to be sure. Saw all the crap about don't vent the back only the front ect ect ect. Well my turbo stuff is in the way on the front so I had to do the back. Cool thanks for the info.
