Default will saturated injectors work in an OBD-0 car?

i'm 99.9% sure that if i elminate my resistor box, that my ecu will support saturated injectors, correct? can someone back me up on this?

thanks

well ks motorsports has the 440s for like 260 shipped. however, they do not carry the peak-hold form. does anyone know where i could get (4) peak hold RC 440's for cheap?

thanks

I dont see why that would not work.

as nice as that price sounds, i'm honestly sick of finding reliable injectors. i do not know the history/sucess stories behind delphi, but i do know that DSM's suck in most cases, and RC's never give troubles. can anyone persuade me with the delphies? i am short on cash so 200 is tempting...

Viren doesn't sell junk. I don't think you have to worry.

You can run Saturated injectors on an ECU that requires Peak and Hold. You just can't run Peak and Hold ones on a Saturated ECU. Basically this is because the resistance is what matter to the ECU. If your ECU expects to have enough resistance for Saturated then if you put less resistance you'll blow the injector drivers. But since Peak and Hold injectors have less resistance then the Saturated ones, if won't matter if you put Saturated injectors on a Peak and Hold ECU. Does that make sense to you...?

Baiscally, Peak and Hold ECU = Peak and Hold or Saturated injectors. Saturated ECU = Saturated injectors ONLY.

Hope this helps...

Yep...I ran saturated injectors on my OBD0 DA for a while and had absolutelly no problems. HTH

I will differ on that one. Many of my customers run different injectors on the OBD0-OBD1 setups. Many of them keep the OBD0 injectors and run the OBD1 ecu. Many of them run the OBD1 injectors and keep the OBd0 ecu.

That's because people with OBD0 setups already have resistor pack installed into the wiring harness. They can run either injector.

I was refering to his statement about...

Baiscally, Peak and Hold ECU = Peak and Hold or Saturated injectors. Saturated ECU = Saturated injectors ONLY.
That is untrue about the ecus. Also, to run the OBD1/2 injectors in the OBD0 setup, you have to solder the wires together when removing the resistor box. Or basically close the loop.

How is that untrue. I've done it all the time. As long as you have an ECU that's not expecting a high resitance injector you can run whatever injector you want. Granted the injector plugs are different, but overlook that part. I don't care how you look at it. I don't care about OBD status either. You only have to run high resistance injectors or run a resistor box if you have an ecu that's expecting 12 OHMs of resistance (i.e. saturated).

You can run the saturated ecu along with the peak and hold injectors. Your statement says

Baiscally, Peak and Hold ECU = Peak and Hold or Saturated injectors. Saturated ECU = Saturated injectors ONLY

That makes me think that I can not run the peak and hold injectors with the saturated ecu. That is untrue. Add the resistor box and you are fine.
