Before I go ahead and put the rest of my money and time into this, I need to ask the opinions of those who have already been there and done that.

I am preparing to boost my 99 ls teg, the following will be my setup:

greddy sohc turbo kit modded to fit b series, vortech fpr, SAFCII, sidemount intercooler. @6psi

The thing is, when I bought this kit it did not have the greddy blue box. It has a BOV which I would be able to take off before any smog inspection is done, aswell as the intercooler.

But should that setup pass the sniffer? Also I would need one of those greddy carb stickers. I remember someone was selling those here. Can anyone lead me in the right direction for one?

Just make sure you retard your timing a bunch before you go in for inspection. That will definitely help.

How do you retard timing on OBDII ? Thx for the reply anyone else?

Me, too...you should be ok with a CARB sticker, but even that doesn't guarantee you anything. Since they are doing smog checks on the dyno now, if the smog guy gets a little too aggressive with the pedal and manages to get some boost out of the turbo, you're gonna be in trouble.

If you want a guaranteed pass, smog the car without the kit. It not, all bets are off.

Oh the sticker is just for the cops JIC Im just wondering cuz the greddy kit is spose to pass smog, but thats with the blue box which I wont be running.
