Will my close ratio LSD trans hold up to boost?
I have a JDM ITR transmission with the quaife LSD, a 4.75 final drive and a close ratio gearset: so close that if i am past 5500 RPM and i downshift, i will definitely go over 8200.... so basically my question is will i be able to use this transmission for boost without ruining it or always being on the rev limiter simply because it would be impossible to shift through the gears that quickly? I am eventually aiming for ~ 400-450 hp.

You might want to consider revving to 9500+ RPM if you stay with those gears to allow more overall speed each gear. I am pretty sure you'd end up roasting through the tires each time you shift, and by the time you get steady acceleration, you'd end up shifting too frequently (and run out of steam once you get into 5th).

exactly what he said ^. 400+ hp = roasting tires until 4th gear here with a b16 lsd tranny. im sure yours will be worst. i would rather go with a gsr lsd tranny after my exp. with a b16 tranny.

Thats probably a good idea, i would hate to ruin my ITR trans.... Just a stock quaife equipped gsr trans would be good for 400hp?
Any gusses at what hp you think my ITR trans wont be the greatest anymore?
Im sorta leery about revving past 8200, but i suppose if im building the internals to hold 400hp, a few more revs wont hurt it, especially since i will probably build a b16 or maby b18.

if youre gonna be revving to 9.5k, youll want valves, springs and retainers and youll be better of using a gsr or b16 crank

Boost by gear, better suspension, better tire combo = owns you. Shorter geared tranny is going to accelerate the quickest. Don't compensate by changing gear ratios.

You are not going to hurt your tranny, but if your engine isn't setup to rev higher or you don't want to change your tires, you are going to have to change the gear ratios. I run an ITR tranny, quaife LSD, AVC-R boost by gear and MH radials and don't have too much of an issue with traction on the street making 500+ on pump gas.

So your saying if i switch to semi slicks, and i have good suspension, i will be fine with my ITR trans? And what the hell is boost by gear -i'l search-

Boost by gear would be controlling boost differently for each gear. 1st gear = 6 psi, 2nd gear = 10 psi and so on.
Here an old video of my Integra, roughly 350 WHP, USDM ITR trans with 4.400 FD. 1st gear has around 8 psi, 2nd is 10, 3rd and on is peak of 14 psi. Tires are either BFG G-Force or Yoko A032R-S... The block is either stock block with internals (11.5:1 CR) or a built Dart one (10.5:1 CR)... Forgot exactly which is which because I had mix videos from different times

Another video with a few 1st-2nd gear rip:
