it will hit your hood barely if u use the fitting on the top of the wastegate that tial provides. if u leave it open it will clear

its real close...I put an indention on the (not sure on the correct terminology) rib on the hood, just be safe. Or you can cut the rib that comes real close in contact with the WG

Tape a piece of play-doh on the section of hood and close the hood. If there's no impression, then drive around with it. The engine rocking back and forth might be an issue, especially if you have stock mounts and no mount inserts.

if you are worried about the clearance of a tial 38mm w/g, just get a turbosmart ultragate 35mm. It has smaller over all dimensions and it flows 20% more than the tial 38mm. Plus the ultragate is made of 253ma steel and it is investment cast, so it will never corrode. Besides, Inline Pro uses the ultragate w/ their manifold

I have a 00 si with the inline pro and tial 35mm and mine hits with the top piece on. It made a little dent in the part under the hood from the engine moving but it wont be visible from the top.

a good friend of mine has a b16 using the inline pro/tial combo, and he doesn't have problems. i know when he did the swap, he cut some of the skeleton out of the hood, so that might be the ticket......

like I said, the turbosmart ultragate has smaller dimensions and will provide you will more than enough clearance for your application. Not only does it provide more clearance, the ultragate is a better w/g
