Default Will I need to make an adapter plate?

Hey I have a 90 CRX Si with a ZC and a MAZDA 626, MX6 88-92 2.2L IHI RHB52W VJ-11X (thanks to Sonny) with a custom manifold buut the welds are **** and it leaks...I am not going to bother fixing it, I am just gonna buy a greddy manifold. I need to know whether I am gonna have to make an adapter plate for it to bolt together or do they use the same bolt pattern? I think the greddy is for T3 (correct me if I am wrong) but I dunno what a IHI is compared to a T3 so any help would be great. Thanks!

Also I am going to have my turbo piping done proper and any pics of how you guys have done it for this t ype of engine bay would help a lot

Thanks Again

As far as I know I don't think Greddy makes any manifolds to fit T3 or IHI turbos.

the T3 manifolds are the same bolt pattern as T3/T4 as far as I understand. So any T3/T4 mani for ur motor should work. I'd wait for someone to confirm this as I am an idiot

yah... t3/t4 turbos are t3 exh side and t4 compressor. the thing is most t3/t4 turbos/manifolds (well all i've seen) are external w/g. straight t3's are internal. So they could bolt up because they use the same flange but unless u find a T3 manifold with internal wastegate... err u get my point. Very tired right now... please excuse me if u dunno wtf i'm talking about.

Ok so now that we know the greddy is t3 flange...is the IHI a t3 flange as well?

Not exaclty... a little maybe
but they are different...
there are two types of IHI flanges... an IHI flange that looks like a
t3 that can be mated with a little work....
see pic... and ebay add..

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1836737010

and then theres.!
the IHI flange that is square and the t3 is rectangular..

hth

these are ebay pics, i dont know how long they will
be on their servers..

Okay thanks....does anyone know if someone makes adapters for such applications or if there is anyone who makes a manifold for my engine that uses the IHI flange?

The Greddy manifold is flanged for a T25 turbine housing, *NOT* a T3. Only Standard T25 turbine housings will fit, *NOT* the DSM T25's that come on the 2nd Gen DSM's.

DIY or pay for a custom piece... good luck

fyi, ive 'heard', of people widening or narrowing the position of the
IHI bolt holes to mate to a t3 turbo manifold ...again just hearsay, never seen it done
hit up gtcali for some info...
