Re: will i be able to idle 440's w/ a V-AFC???? (GSRacer)
We were able to get 370cc injectors to idle, but it does sputter a little when you lightly tap the throttle or when you are getting on it and you are not in boost. Once you are in boost, they work fine. I think you will have a problem with the 440cc injectors!

It's not that big of a deal; I'm on 450s on a GSR turbo and it idles fine. You have to remember that the VAFC is only affecting the idle when it's starting and the O2 sensor hasn't warmed up yet. Once the O2 sensor heats up the ECU goes closed loop and it automatically trims out fuel until it idles right. I've had my VAFC set at anywhere between -25% and -40% and no trouble idling; it sometimes takes an instant longer to fire up when I crank it if it's really cold. That's all.

Well I figure since Chris and I both have GSRs and have no trouble with it, and he's asking regarding a GSR, I think he'll be OK.

just a side note, the WRX has 440's stock. Since some people are upgrading already, this might be a cheap upgrade (assuming you get the fitament and type issues straightened out). just an idea.
