Will a 92-95 JR Supercharger Fit onto a 91 CRX Si??
OK I know that they are different part numbers between the 2 JR supercharger kits but I was wondering if it is posible at all to fit the 92-95 supercharger onto the 91 A6 by chance?? I have the chance to pick one up pretty cheap and just wanted to know if it would be a waste of money or not.
Oh and also could you explain why it wouldnt fit if it wont?? I dont want just a "No it wont fit" I want to know why like, it wont match up with the belts or its too big or whatever??
Thanks for the help!!

I had a 92-95 Civic JRSC kit on my 90 CRX Si. There were only 2 small differences between the kits.
1. The single belt used in the d-series kit is a 4-rib for the 92-95 Civic and a 3-rib on the CRX.
a. Retaining the 3 groove pulleys (alternator and crank); this should be no problem, as you'll use only three of the four grooves in the SC pulley. Which of the grooves, inner or outer, you leave empty would be the one that makes it best line up. I did it this way first but soon changed to the next method below.
b. Switching the Crank and Alternator pulleys to 4 groove: I did it this way and used the alternator and crank pulleys from a 92-95 Civic. The d-series belts are very prone to alternator slippage because the belt only wraps about 90 degrees around the pulley. Tightening the belt tension on a 3-rib until the slip is gone will usually result in very short belt life, so the extra width in the belts allows for less belt tension and longer belt life. Also, I couldn't find a 3-rib belt in the long size that the d-series JRSC kits use, so I had to buy a 6-rib belt and split it down the middle by hand -- not fun. The 4-rib belts in the correct length were easy to find.
2. The CRX fuel rail will not fit correctly with the FPR adapter plate on the 92-95 Civic kit. I bought a fuel rail from a 92-95 Civic and it bolted right up, but I don't remember if I need the CRX fuel rail spacers or not.

Re: (roadrunner)
Great thanks for the reply! The nicde thing is is that I already have a Z6 intake on my A6 so I have the 92-95 fuel rail and well I have spacers as well....About the only thing I will have to do then is find the cranks and altenator pulleys to swap that all over just so I can do it right....
But hey thanks for the help thats great to know that it will fit!
