wideband o2 for SOHC
Can you hook up a wideband sensor to read through a autometer gauge? I mean is there anyway to just get a wideband 02 sensor so my gauge reads accurate instead a useless light show??

Actually, some widebands have an output that you can connect to the autometer which converts it into a wideband readout.
Also, autometer makes widebands. But I suppose it's safe to assume the OP was talking about the autometer narrow band.
But yeah, autometer makes widebands as well.

Yes you can have neptune run a wodeband setup, but here's the kicker. the sensors burn out really fast. you can figure ona DD that once every 4-6 months you'll be buying a new O2, and at a minium of $90 a pop that is not a cheap option. I don;t DD my car so I run one. I run the NGK AFX one and it's awesome and accurate.

go to the forums then DIY section. there are several articles tehre 2 of which deal with Widebands.
admins, sorry for the link but this is MY personal site so I'm not promoting another site,a nd I wrote the articles.

As long as you don't overheat the sensor, they have lasted just as long as a normal O2 sensor for me. Just don't put it right up the turbo's ***.
But I would look into an AEM wideband gauge unit or a PLX M300.

Yeah I know AM makes wide band but since he said something about the useless light show I figured he had the narrow band one

well i know its useless at idle, but at WOT it still tells me if im lean, i just dont wana lean out at WOT so i guess i narrowband is ok, i just wana know if my overall tune is tight. I have 800cc injectors and a walbro pump tuned at 11 psi so i dont think running lean is gonna be a prob. it pulls hard as F*c

I would definitley invest in a wideband with any turboed car. It is good tool to have.
