Wideband/narrow band question
I'm new to the tuning stuff and I am looking for a wideband or good o2 sensor and guage combination. I am currently obd0 with a 1 wire o2 and from what I have heard attaching a A/F meter to it will not be accurate.
Would it be better to get my hands on a 4 or 5 wire sensor off a newer civic, weld it into the exhaust and then attach a A/F guage to it?

Re: Wideband/narrow band question (vegaskurt)
No, a 4 wire O2 sensor is still a narrow band sensor, just like you 2 wire one. The only difference with the 4 wire one is that it's heated. And you can't hook up an AF gauge to a 5 wire and it be any more accurate.
You will want to buy a wideband sensor from a major player like Inovative, PLX, AEM, or Zeitronix. There are several models to choose from depending on your needs. Most have a display so you can monitor the actual AFR. Some have datalogging if you're engine managment doesn't have any. And most have a simulated narrow band output that goes to the ECU so it doesn't cause a CEL.
