wideband
i am currently in need of a good wideband... i have been thinking about the Zeitronix wideband but its a bit on the expensive side.. i was thinking about it and i dont really need any sort of display cause i can just hook it up to my carputer and it will display everything, so what kind of wideband can i be looking at that doesnt come with a display but is accurate and wont break down on me? thanks

Re: wideband (zexifiedlude)
If you dont need a display, the Innovate LC-1 is the best bang for your buck https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif
https://www.innovatemotorsports.com/.../pb200_lc1.jpg $199 retail, PM me for a better price https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif You can always add their gauge later too, if you decide you need one. |
does the lc-1 connect via serial or usb to a pc? for logging?
|
it uses a serial cable but you can get a serial to usb adapter. thats what im useing and workds fine

Re: wideband (zexifiedlude)
I never had any problems with the zeitronix. it's very easy to use. I also have an lc-1. I never got the output for the narrowband simulator to work right on the lc-1. I like the zeitronix better. and it's got a nice datalogger program

Re: (USDM 4G VTEC)
I need the actual sensor part, because mine got crushed when i wrecked one of my CRX's.
Its for the plx M300, just the actual 02 sensor with the wires coming out of it and that 6 prong plug(I think its 6) |

Here are my "excuses" #1 - The AEM doesnt ship with the wires/connector to send a voltage to your ECU that you can datalog with...that connector/wire is extra...and its really meant to be used with their EMS #2 - Similar to #1, the AEM wideband output is NON-linear, which makes datalogging with anything except the AEM EMS much more difficult (propriety at its best) #3 - Along the lines of #2, the YUGO uses a standard BOSCH 5-wire O2, however the bastards changed the plug on it so when your sensor goes bad...you can only buy it from them (even better at propriety than we thought!) Innovate, PLX & Techedge all use a standard Bosch 5-wire sensor with the standard plug...can easily be picked up at any local VW parts dealer or online for fairly cheap. They all use a LINEAR voltage output, which makes inputting that signal into an ECU much easier. I like the Innovate units because I know they are accurate, they allow for frequent calibrations and as the sensor ages...they account for that in the calibration which keeps them accurate throughout the life of the sensor...instead of only when its new. They are much more versatile too...serial connection allows you to daisy chain a bunch of them together if you wish...there are a lot of applications this would be good for...not necessarily a street tuned Honda though. |
Re: (xenocron)
Im rocking a Innovate LM1 and I love it.Huge support, accurate and has the capablities to expand it later on for all kinds of applications. The built in data logging is great too if you dont have a laptop. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif I got it from Xenecron as he is the man for ecu goods https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

zeitronix is the best.
wideband egt boost gauge/user input map display/user input tps display/user input all in one unit, easy to install. I havent seen another wideband to match or beat it, plus the price is the best. |
Re: (rudebwoy)
I am a big fan of the Techedge DIY kits https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif. I'm currently running a Techedge 1.5 with an L1H1 sensor but I am planning to upgrade to a 2B0 with an LSU sensor when I start working on my beater again.

Re: wideband (zexifiedlude)
FJO has a good wideband, priced alittle higher, but pretty much bullet proof, I have heard alot of good about them and have one ordered.
