Default Whys picking a turbo so hard........

Guys i need help, i am loosing sleep over this, my mind is about to burst. What turbo should i use. I was looking for anything from the t3 60-1, t460-1, and the new
prescision turbo(sc-61/63). It will be going on my b18c for now, but the will eventually be on my built ls/vtec with 84.5mm bore and 9:5 comp. I was looking for a hp goal of 550-600. I know all the turbo's i listed will make that hp but which wil get me there more efficently, and witht he least amout of turbo lag. Obvously i know with such a turbo lag, is always going to be there.

Thanks
Mike

Determine your intercooler efficiency, displacement, volumetric efficiency, underhood temperatures, boost pressure and post intercooler temperature. Once you figure these out use the formulas for pressure ratio and airflow using the above variables. Plot these on the compressor maps and figure out what the most suitable compressor is for your application.

it's not too bad. it just takes time and patience which a lot of people seem to run out of.

Good luck.

Street car define what you would call a street car..... I'm not really building this car for the street. The car is gutted completly, all i want is my dash and the motor. I will be installing some lexan windows and the fiberglass front end once the first motor is running.

Like lazerus said.. it just takes time and patience.
I've been turbo sizing since Sept. 02' and I still havent purchase a turbo for my next setup.

The stock B18c that you're going to run is 1797cc
and the built 84.5mm LS will be 1997cc, and will have a higher VE% (might be 100-110%) if you have the head built also. You can easily fall out of the compressor map.

buy separate turbos$$?
