why would my 0bd0 ls not need a ML and my zc does?
i ran a ls motor in my 91 hatch obd0 and using the LS ecu and FMU and never needed a missing link for the map sensor .. now i got a 91 crx with a turbo ZC using a pm6 ecu and fmu and when i boost above about 5 psi it throws a cel for MAP and drives ok but when i come to a stop the car shuts off unless i clear code.. why would this be . what the difference ?

Did your old motor use a Firewall mounted map sensor? If so there may be a check valve in between the intake manifold and map sensor. Which would prevent the map sensor from seeing boost. I'm not positive of what i said but its the first thing that came to mind.

ya they both use the firewall mounted MAP. im actually using the same map i has on the other motor. but no theres no check valve. i tried that and it runs poorly.
