i'm running version 1.5. the wiring is pretty simple. you can find the required DB-9 connectors at radioshack. each pin on the connector is labeled with a number that corresponds to my diagram above, so you cant go wrong. i havent done this yet, but i will be hooking up my map sensor and IAT sensor up to the user inputs of the techedge that will be datalogged as well. here is a snapshot of a log below. i can hook it up to my computer and export the numbers into excel for further processing as well. i really like the system.

yes, that is what i am using, however you need the controller from techedge. check out http://www.techedge.com.au for details on this.

i know that logging is limited with the v1.0. i dont think it has RPM capabilities either. all i know is that it would hook up through the 5301 display, if its even possible at all. email peter from the site above and find out.

that looks good,i was planning to make a jumper for that part of it.
i need to know what connections you made on the car to get your rpms to work and everything else to log.like what did you use for rpm and stuff, just the tach wire?someoen said something about using the vss wire for something also.thanx for the pic.

Re: who uses a palm pilot with thier wideband (civictypenos)
i used the ignitor signal from the ECU, which on my PR3 B16 was pins B15/B17 for the RPM signal. as far as the vss is concerned, i dont know why you'd use that with the techedge. i have used this in the past with my laptop as a "dyno" but thats a totally different area. also, i advise the update for the ATtiny chip, so that datalogging is more accurate. you will get less "intereference" with this update. its like $6; check the website for details.

is that all you hooked up was your rpm?my kit is only about a month old so i think it is already updated....i think.what are the user wires for that come from the WB unit.

how much was everything? including the WB and the palm pilot and etc...?so the palm pilot replaces the digital display of the TE? looks nice

well like i said, i have rpm hooked up right now, and i will hook up IAT and MAP later, which are two of the many possible things that you can log. but yes, for straight rpm/af logging, all you need is rpm. the user wires have many functions. there are two inputs for rpm; rpm lo and rpm hi. if you're going off of the IGN signal from the ecu, you'll want to use the rpm lo input, and leave the hi unhooked. also, there are the two user inputs which are optional, and take in 0-5v. then there is a narrowband output that will interface with your ecu, if you decide to remove your stock narrow band sensor. for more info on the user inputs, go here: http://www.techedge.com.au/veh...t.htm

i get AU and US currency confused, but i think the techedge kit unassembled and the 5301 display unassembled costed me like $150US or less, shipped to the US. as i stated earlier in this post, the palm costed $130. read up ^^ for details. the L1H1 o2 sensor costed me $120 at the time, from the partsbin who have since then raised the price (if they even stock it anymore?). if you want, you dont need to buy the 5301 display, however i decided to since i only use my palm when i'm tuning. i use the 5301 to monitor levels for daily driving. its a little more convenient this way.
here is a shot of the kit, mostly assembled. do not buy the unassembled version unless you are skilled in electronics/soldering:

the site wasnt down when i just checked, but heres a direct link to the zip file: ftp://ftp.offline.org/pub/fmdlog/fmdlog-v1.55.zip
hopefully it will work. then follow the instructions for your palm that you would use to install any type of software onto it.

Re: (95TurboLS)
not easily...the best you could do as far as keeping it simple is using the two user inputs of the v1.5 hooked up to whatever sensors you want. but there wouldnt be tuning capabilities or anything like that. just logging.
