Who here has tuned an e manage on an obd2 car?
Did the ecu fight back when you were tuning. I have heard that it does not like to hold the settings "air fuel ratio" the way you set it. The ecu trys to bring it back to stock specs. I have also heard that it was just a myth and that it is in tuner error. I am going to the dyno soon and need some info. I am picking up a new one for $425 but if it is not going to work right I wont bother. Please keep this post directed on e manage. I dont want to here you should use hondata etc. Thanks

a friend of mine has a turbo 00 si tuned with e-management, his box keeps on going into default mode. A local shop got him a new one, still did not solve the problem. It got to the point that he had the shop that installed and tuned it, load the map that they made for him on to his lab top. He now has to keep his labtop in his car. It would not rev past 6500, it would hit a type of rev limiter.

if you get all the harnesses with it , it wont jump back to stock . because with the injector and ignition harness , its bypasses the ecu .
i tuned my obd2 d16 turbo with it . worked just fine untill i melted a piston due to bad gas

This is the kind of info I want to hear. Anyone else tune one or have any more info.

I have an e-manage right now on my car that is coming off because I got a killer deal on an aem with the wideband. But the ignition is bypassed with the harness but the injectors are not. Injectors are spliced in. I have a obd1 and tuned to 314whp and 210 tq. The system is good dispite what everyone thinks that it can not do. Never had a problem with it. I even tuned it to 22psi on the street with a friends wideband and it was running hard but i felt at the power I would rather get a standalone. Is not obd2 but hope that would help make your choice on if your going to keep it or not. Just get the ignition harness and the extra wires you can use for the injectors and you will have full control over the e-manage

280whp@8psi and 314whp@11psi with my e-manage. been about 4 months and it has not jumped back to stock. still running fine. it also has the option to have several different tuned maps stored so that at any time while driving you can change maps and run a different amount of boost, and it will be totaly safe since you were tuned for it.
alot of my friedns are using the emanage and they have never had any problems with it. and they are all on obd2 cars.
but we all do have the injector and ignition harnesses

I just spoke with the tuner. He stated the same thing. He has tuned a ton on obd2 with out a problem. I am getting both harnesses and support tool so I should be good. Ill let you know how it turns out.

just get the ignition harness. It comes with 12 wire's where you only need two of them. The injector harness is just wires that snap into the main harness. Save you money and get just the ignition harness and use 4 of them for your injectors

I have the same hookup on my 98 Torneo (JDM accord).
I bought the injection harness and used the extra wires to controll the injector.
Anybody have e-manage maps to share?

The ignition harness is a plug and the wires are seperate, you clip in the wire's depending on the cylinder and the coil setup of your car. The harness comes with 12 wires and honda 4 cylinder only use 2 wires (in and out) since we don't have coil packs. the other 10 wires that come with the harness you can do antthing you want with it. agian the wires are not attached to the plug when yo get it. you add the wires depending on your car. And all the injector harness is is wires, we use 4 for the injectors and the injector wires clip into the main harness that is already standard with the e-manage
