who can chip my ecu for a basemap?
my setup will be:
obd1 b18b stock
Garret Turbo 70 ar 48 e 60-1
Small Spearco Core Intercooler
Turbonetics Wastegate with 10lb spring
Greddy Bov
Rev Hard Manifold
Dsm 450 Injectors
walbro 225 fuel pump
is there anyone on here that can make me a basemap for this setup so i can drive it till i get more $ to really get a good tune on it? this is my first turbo setup on a honda and i just want my motor to last. i looked around but i couldnt find anyone specific that can make basemaps. id like to use crome but i suppose uberdata would be ok for now

driving around on nothing but a basemap isnt' a good idea, granted many people still do it... i'd suggest not installing it until u can afford to get it tuned.

I would have to agree. John socketed my ecu and put a decent/modified basemap on my ecu. I would recommend this service.

If your motor is stock (other than the turbo setup) then you can run on a basemap for as long as you want.
I had a stock motor running 8psi on an uber basemap for almost a year. My wideband showed that the afr's were almost perfect.
Uber basemaps are the **** There is nothing wrong with running on them except you will be a bit rich under boost. That's the beaty of working off of stock honda maps.
I don't get the ringland comment. I pulled my motor apart and it was frickin' mint. It had 90k miles and was boosted for a year on a basemap and the internals looked practically new.

Me. It takes about 1-2 minutes to make a basemap.

yeah, Ive only had my motor running now for a few hours but for the start up and break-in I used uberdata basemap that I made, under boost im running a strong 11.5 A/F. the vacuum end is a lil rich in the mid 13's to low 14's but thats just wasting gas more then hurting the motor.

man you had a basemap made...did you also have a wideband for extra safety? probably not right?
make your basemap, borrow a buddies wb02 for a day. drive around and monitor what its doing. if your a'f ratio looks good then keep it man. thats what im doing and its been only a couple weeks but everything is fine. but remember to set your timing to stock 16btc without the chip so that you will calibrate with uberdata. i forgot to do this so i drove my car on the freeway at 18btc and i heard major knock ( like a pinging sound) and then i realized i never put my timing back to stock. it now idles perfect as well. i can send you the basemap im using if you want?
