Re: Who apprenticed who??? (GSRwBOOST)
Let's see. This was before the days of Honda-Tech. I received my mentoring for Ben@importparts.com (who at the time had a 97 DRAG2 Turbo LS... previously having a DRAG2 Turbo Accord). Ron Adams in Tampa, FL (HAd a Drag2 on his 97 GS-R). That's about all I had to go on besides my MANY MANY hours on the www searching for ANYTHING turbo related. There was not much at the time!
According to Ben I have their first DRAG3 kit thy have ever shipped. And it is still on my car. On the stock motor.. w/o the head ever taken off.

Re: Who apprenticed who??? (GSRwBOOST)
the whole FI forum helped me out. A couple of times I bugged art, viren, paul and tomakit over aim and God knows how many times I looked at dustin's install pics. And can't forget rae for helping with the install.

Re: Who apprenticed who??? (degradated)
There are by far more experts than me *blush*, but seriously.. there seem to be more people each day that go turbo, everytime ben runs a deal.. just wondering who helped each person besides just a couple posts..
I must have called art and dustin and mark millions of times, and with great success I might add.

Re: Who apprenticed who??? (GSRwBOOST)
I started my turbo project with absolutely no knowledge at all. I thought the turbo was mounted in the exhaust can. heheheh pitiful. serious!
I didn't know anyone with a turbo setup so I gathered my info from any and all internet sites that was turbo related. From there I took notes, 1/4 notebook full! I also have to give credit to the Hybrid board because I posted alot of my turbo newbie Q's there.
There is this guy named Glenn, I'm sure some of you know his site, who kept an online journal of his turbo trials and tribulations and that is where I got my inspiration to complete my project.
so the credit goes to the entire turbo honda loving community.

Re: Who apprenticed who??? (Flamenco-T)
I had VERY little Turbo knowledge when I came to H-T almost 1 year ago... it's funny to look back at that, and now how I go to alot of these newbie sites and there all like "wow, this guys really knows his stuff" lol. I just crack up and think of all the folks here who helped me, namley:
dbman
Art
sGT
dustin
rtype <-- "slow and gipetto" guy
And the rest of you old-timers, you know who you are

Re: Who apprenticed who??? (GSRwBOOST)
MarkC, Acuraintegraman, and Ben were the guys that help me from the begining and helped me decide to go turbo. Dustin, Arturbo, and G3teg(I think was his name) were always there to answer my posts and now GSRwBoost is there when I need help. Its funny how Jake put me down as one of the guys who helped him and now he's helping me. "The student is now the teacher".lol
