Where are you guys getting your 1/8" npt 27 taps for your EGT probes? I went to 2 local home depot's and several automotive shops with no luck.
Anyone got one for sale? heh.

Oh come on, you'd buy it from someone here before buying it on line from a machine tool dealer?
Grrrr dang people. The time you spent whinning about this here you could have just used Google. Here is THE place for stuff, http://www.mcmaster.com/
They have everything, including the tap you need.

So much trouble to find a 1/8" NPT tap.....it is usually the most common pipe tap on the shelf at any store. Try finding a 3/8 NPT tap when you need it right away, that is a trick sometimes. I was lucky I have a good (but expensive) Hardware store that carries odd ball stuff.
I'd try any place that carries regular taps and dies in the single blister pack form, there should be a 1/8" NPT tap in there somewhere. A 1/8" - 27 NPT thread is a standard 1/8" NPT tap
*I also suggest if your tapping SS material, take things slowly. SS needs more tlc than tapping cast iron*

I have a 1/8"-27 NPT and 1/4"-18 NPT tap sitting right here in front of my computer in the packages still. (dont ask)
Vermont American, part number 20371 for the 1/8" and 20372 for the 1/4". You can thank me later!
