Where does your Fuel Pressure gauge read when you are boosting at WOT?
My car is holding 50psi at idle which is normal. Car runs fine, no leaks, no smoking, nothing. Im only running 6psi with an inline fuel pump, 12:1 FMU, and stock injectors. When I hit 6000 rpms at WOT my fuel gauge is reading about 95psi or so and my car bogs at that point. My J&S still reads rich, but some say that isnt a very accurate reading anyways. No knock is showing either.
So Im wondering if its just dumping too much fuel when VTEC kicks and its bogging, or is it leaning out? My timing still isnt set 100% (i'll do that tonight)..just trying to figure things out. Im thinking of putting some Prelude injectors in it for the mean time to see what happens..maybe I'll do that on the dyno with a wideband 02 sensor so i know for sure what its doing.
But up until 6000 rpms the car pulls VERY nicely.
Any insite?

Do you have full boost at 6000 rpm? Assuming that you do, your fuel pressure should be over 120 psi at 6psi of boost with a 12:1 disk.

Hrm... not sure. I was watching the Fuel gauge at that point, not the boost. It usually hits the 6psi of boost around that area...but I cant be 100% sure until I look again. Ill check at lunch time and report back.

goes off the scale at 100+... (calculated to be roughly 120psi) 45idle w/ 8:1 fmu

So are you saying my gauge is suppose to peg 100+ at WOT at 6psi?

50 psi + 12*6 = 122psi
so yes.. your gauge under full boost of 6psi should send that needle off the scale 100+
you should be getting 12psi fuel pressure increase per psi of boost..
