Do not put the sensor ahead of the turbo.. The temperature before and after the turbo can vary by more that 100 degrees.. that will cause your car to run way rich.. You need an OBD1 sensor, and tap it into the manifold.. Especially if you are going hondata.. The sensor is very important in open loop..

some people have successfully put the odbII IAT sensor in the charge pipe before the throttle body. no, it doesn't 'blow' out with boost.

i have mine in the charge pipe before the throttle body. on the 2000 si intake manifold there is a place for it on the manifold on the forth runner. you hae to drill it and use to screws to hold the sensor in place.

At 10 psi, you can loose as much as three pounds of boost, which later translates into heat, because the turbo must spool harder to overcome the leak.. The name of the game is efficiancy..
You will notice that in a B16 intake, there is an oval shaped flat spot in the top of the runner furthest from the throtle body.. you will need to drill and tap two holes, with a larger hole in the middle for the sensor to pass through.. I am sorry that I do not remember the actual hole sizes, but it is easy to figure out when you get the element.
good luck..
