Default Where can I purchase this part....Pic included (non-honda)


its to keep the carb pressurized...but i cannot find any online place to buy one

It's called a Carb Bonnet/Hat. That particular one is made by Carb Solutions Unlimited (CSU) and you can find it around the web. It's a good bonnet, but the one made by Superior Airflow (http://www.superiorairflow.com/) seems to be making more power with better A/F ratios than the CSU.

Also, check out http://www.turbomustangs.com, sign up for the forums and check out the Carb turbo section. There's a guy in Winnipeg who just made 1100 RWHP on a turbo small block with a powerglide and a blow-thru carb, so he'd even be a good local to talk to about tuning.

When I had my old rx7 with a holley 650 carb I used a K&N..Turbonetics also makes some..

I've seen the CSU/Extreme Velocity hats worth 40 RWHP on mild 300-400 RWHP setups. They give you turbulent airflow into the carb and make it much harder to tune as well, and result in much poorer part throttle driveability. The EV hat would be my first choice, the CSU second, and I wouldn't buy anything past that. Just my 2 cents
