A friend wants to sell me a jackson racing supercharger for 250 bucks, to put on my 99 ex civic. He says it has everything i need except a gasket and the jr intake manifold so i need to know where i can find one besides jacksonracing.com cause it is like 550 bucks. The supercharger came off a crx but he says it should bolt up to my d16y8, is this true cause they are different on jacksonracing.com. Any one who wants to flame this thread feel free but if anyone wants to explain to me what all i might need or where i can find a manifold please let me know.

The dude also said that the supercharger has almost 10,000 miles on it, is there anything i should check before buying it. How long do superchargers usually last and does age affect its performance? Once again i dont know **** about these things so please inform me.

you can search for ebay or search around here... you would want to check the conditions of the supercharger... like the protected layer inside, if thats coming off or not... also check no fluid leaking from the noise pulley and check how it spins... if everything is good then the deal pretty good..

they last like a 100,000 miles and that manifold sounds wrong, we bought a JRSC manifold for a gsr for like 250$ ish from JACKSON, not bad at all. where were you looking.

i looked on jacksonracing.com the manifold was listed as a civic manifold assembly kit and cost 542 dollars.
