Default When you tuned your Hondata, how much did it cost?

Payn Tech is quoting me for around $180 per hour.

I know they are the best but...... dang.........

not to mention I still need the turbo installed, and the clutch, and buy gauges, pillar, gauge bezel, .... ho hum.

Anyway, how much did your dyno shops quote you people for per hour?

A tuner should have everything they need to tune your Hondata. I don't mean all tuners, I mean the ones that do Hondata. They should have the full 4b setup with the emulator/burner so they can tune 2b and 3b setups.

$185 up here. takes about 2-3 hours to tune it. however, i dont think the tuning will be as great as doing it yourself with a wideband on the street.

Think about it this way. You are usually paying $100 an hour to rent the dyno. Anything over that is what your tuner is getting payed. So in reality unless the tuner owns the dyno they are using they are only makin a couple hundred off of it.

Hey when do youplan on going there? I got another friend that is planning to go. I talked to payn and if we get enough guys to go we can rent the dyno for the whole day and we can get a discount for the dyno rental.

If you are looking for a hondata program for your maxrev kit, we will have some tunes available shortly. The first we will ahev done is using a 440cc injector (people dont need to wire in resistor boxes this way)

Is tunning w/ a wideband on the street really much better than dyno tunning for a hondata/turbo setup?

With Tom Payn's fabulous JRSC base map, it only took 1 hour to dial in my car.

Well, I believe that either Tom Payn will be Tuning it or Kevin VanCleeve will be doing it considering he is the head machanic. Kevin told me that Tom already had some good basemaps for turbo Civics but since I'm running a custom turbo, it might be a little different. Either way though, I'm running a Garret T3/T4 and it should't be too different, turbo is turbo, it's not like I'm running a Mickey Mouse
T-88 milkshake funky dunk turbocharger you know.

It's good to now that other people are paying this much. Then again, not so good either.
