When piston rings start to go will they get worse the more miles u put on the car?
i'm asking because i just rebuilt my d16z6 (410 miles ago) and used some hastings rings for a d16a6 and getting the car running i put about 10 miles on it running EXTREMLY rich (wiring was all fucked up in my obd0-obd1 conversion).
Blowby wasn't too horribly bad when when i got the wiring straightened out and the car running like it should but it's getting real bad now. like progressively worse. i've been running 12psi on beerbong's map with my z6 bottom a6 head combo but have turned the boost down now to ~ 4 since blowby is getting bad.
So anyway i'm pretty sure its my rings because i've had blown ringlands and they made a definate noise in the motor but i'm not having that noise right now. I also had FOUR broke lands and now i may just have one. But when i had the 4 broke ones i had less blowby than i'm getting now :-/
I also had to wire my dipstick to the manifold because it was blowing out and oil was spewing all over my greddy t25 manifold filling the car with smoke.
