Whay you think - ebay turbo?
What do you think about this turbo for daily b16? I read a lot here and most of you guys recomend costum turbo instead of greddy kit. If you think that is not good, give me your choice

Those are both CDM and are a gamble at best.Go hit up the classifieds on here if your on a budget and you can put toghether a kit for fairly cheap

Man U FTW
If you're looking for something that may or may not be reliable, then go for it, but if you want a turbo that is going to work flawlessly (and cost more) then go to the Classfieds...

Dont waste your money on either of them... ive seen ebay turbo housings split in half before and the manifolds are a gamble as well. May last forever, may crack the first week. Dont set yourself up for dissappointment. Save up some money and scope out good deals on the parts you want. As mentioned theres a lot of good deals on h-t just gotta find them. Otherwise prepare to spend some money cuz building a reliable turbo kit doesnt come cheap.

Garrett 57 trim .63 hot side. Good spool up and nice top end for the track. Get a tial wastegate, dont cheap out on an ebay junker and about 8lbs of boost may set you up in that whp area. All depends on the overal setup though.

Pretty much everything on there comes from the same maker... everyone just slaps there name tag on it. Unless your certain that its a brand name product i wouldnt bother with ebay. For the most part, you can fine better deals on h-t anyway, besides the better customer service.

as long as you run a oil retrictor and your oil feed/return lines are not pinched those turbos work fine. ive seen them first hand and also have seen them last for 2 years no prob and still going

Yes thats true, thus why i never say they are crap just that they are a gamble. They either last forever or take a dump the first month. Never know, plus ive seen a comparison between two turbos, 57 trim .63 ar ssatuo vs. a garrett and the the garrett produced more power... same car

I dont recommend them to anyone... you can find a used garrett or precision turbo on ht for the price of one of those pos' that will more than likely last a hell of a lot longer.

but again your taking a GAMBLE on a used turbo, expletive that.
Buddy of mine went 11.2@127 2.0l LS motor/head on pump gas with the ebay t70 never had any issues

Re: Whay you think - ebay turbo? (Jason703Racing)
Not to say ebay china turbos are good, but for the price ya cant go wrong IMO. im running a 57 trim t3/t4 for 3k miles and it works flawlessly. This isnt to say some of them are junk but hey for 180 bucks i was willing to take a shot in the dark. Find one thats got a warranty stated in the auction and hold them to it if the thing falls apart. thats all. thats what i did
Granted on my drag car i wouldnt run a ebay turbo but i know few people that are and they have run some respectable times with them so i believe there decent and yes you do get what you pay for.
As for making them last i am a firm believe in every turbo having a restrcitor on the feed oil line. to much oil blows seals on even the best of turbos and slows spool etc.. turbos should have 25-30 psi oil pressure/. im sure someone will chime in and dissagree with me but i stand by what i say and it has worked for me without failure, even on my ebay turbo

Re: Whay you think - ebay turbo? (Turbo-LS)
Just recently installed an oil feed restrictor and i could immediately tell a difference in spool. My tuner also told me i was getting full boost sooner than my last tune, i agree with turbo-ls
