Why would a turbo stop making boost?
I just got the car together yesterday, Civic with a B16 -w- LS pistons, freshly rebuilt T3/T4, running 11 PSI off the WG spring, tuned with an AEM F/IC. I made a base map for it, drove it to the dyno, and the tuner started tuning. After a few pulls, the boost dropped to 6-7 PSI, no smoke, no funny noises, just a drop in the boost level. We checked the BOV, nothing coming out of it under throttle, checked the WG, took the line off of it, took off the dump tube for a couple of pulls, the valve stays shut. Replaced the WG with one from someone else's car with a 10 PSI spring, and it still makes 6-7 PSI. Capped the ends of the charge pipe, pressurized it until one of the caps shot off like a cannon ball, putting a dent in the garage door. It holds a lot of pressure, no leaks. Checked out the turbo, no oil on either side of it, no shaft play, spins freely.
I'm out of ideas, about ready to go get another turbo and try that.
Can anyone come up with something that I haven't checked?

The only other area's to check would be the TB area and the IM before you have to look at the turbo..... who did the rebuild on the snail?

sounds like a pre-turbo leak
check for blown gaskets or loose bolts/nuts holding the manifold to the head or manifold to the turbo.
if the turbo is a 5 bolt t3/t4 the leak could also be coming from the down pipe flange.

Thanks for the help, but it looks like it was the turbo. I went out and got another T3/T4 from a local shop and it was making as much boost as I wanted. I put a MBC on it and got it up to 14 PSI.
I'll wait to say who did the rebuild until after I have a chance to contact them.
