bov, wastegate, map sensor, etc, etc. or you could cap it off.

i would use it on the second nipple on your bov, many such as greddy have a second boost only source nipple which helps it react faster

i put two fitting in my charge pipe. One before the intercooler that runs to the wastegate. (allowing the lowest possible pressure with the given spring) and one after the intercooler which runs to my boost control valve.

why couldnt he use that for the valve cover as long as he has a boost-sensitive pcv valve in between like is the ones from the ford 2.3t engines???

what? im just saying, i wouldnt allow any sort of pressure ito the valve cover. i would just use the nipple for something else, puy in a check valve between the valve cover and nipple or plug it. get two fittings for the back of the block, buy a cheap ebay catch can and T one of the lines from the back of your block to the catch can with the valve cover.
im not sure how the ford 2.3's work, but just from personal experience, i wouldnt play any games with the pcv system, i figure just do what i know works and not take any chances with possible outcomes

the ford 2.3t pcv valve is basically a check valve. Its open under vacuum but closed under boost and it goes in the line from the block to the intake. same difference as what you're trying to say and I dont see why it couldnt be used in this instance.

Hey John,
I guess you didn't know what that nipple is for. Well I had and APEXI AVCR hooked up to that. You can run it to the wastgate as someone said in an earlier post, but what it was hooked up to was the AVCR.. You could of buzzed me man . I don't mind. Let me know if you have any other concerns.

dont use it for a bov or map sensor source as the pressure in the I/C piping is not always the same as the pressure in the manifold...the wastegate or a boost conotrller is the only thing id use it for off the top of my head

ok well i knew it wasnt a good vacuum source... my ebcv is already ran from my turbine housing, probably not the absolute best source, but the vacuum line to run to this nipple would be far to long...

and you are talking about the valve not running this to the unit itself right.

ernesto... it didnt even dawn on me that this would be an open nipple untill i was playing with my car last night, figured you would prolly be sleeping and h-t was the quickest way to get a response...

yeah i might of been asleep..hehe but anywho if you don't need that barb just take of the barb and get a brass end or which ever stop, it should work fine. home depot and be carefull when you unscrew the the barb out of the bigger fitting that's taped into the pipe. just use 2 wrenches if you decide to do that. Did you get them to fit in? They were on my 93 civic 4 dr pretty much identicle to yours but intercooler placement and Intake placement(mine's custom). Let me know how it turns out
