ls + sleeves, rods, pistons & pieced together turbo kit
z6 + sleeves, rods, pistons & pieced together turbo kit
-both are about the same price... correct? (assuming i use the ls trans)
-goal is 250 daily driven hp, dead f-ing reliable.

If your going to sleeve a block, sleeve the b series so you can deck it, bore it, stroke it, add a vtec head... anything you ever want to do if you run into money/a want for more power that you do not see ahead of you.

i'd do the ls. but actually if it was really up to me id just daily boost the ls stock with a good tune. if u wanna be safe u could upgrade pistons and rods but the ls has pretty thick walls as it is. I dont see u needing sleeves for a reliable 250whp on that block.

i thought it was the other way around. can anyone confirm this?

The LS is definitely the way to go but are you sure the LS gears are better? I'm going to challenge you to find the ratios for that.

If you want 250 solid reliable HP WTF are you sleeving it with pistons and rods? I ran 280 WHP on a B16 with stock pistons and rods, some ARP's, and hondata. Daily drove it for over a year with the turbo, and it saw lots of abuse with a vorturd blower before that.

because the rods and pistons are like insurance. i dont need to sleeve. thats a step too far.
i'd like to turbo a b16 or gsr, but thats too expensive.

i decided that sleeving it just too much, and not needed.
