on honda i dont liek to go more than minute but if i got like supra or somethign tha would be kinda kewl running that on straight road for like 5-10mins at 22psi of bosot.

turbos make some much power past 65 or 70 mph

My car wieghs 3300lbs with me in it so the only way for me to keep it at a constant highway speed is to constantly stay in boost.. Im so fat I pretty much have to stay in boost 99% of the time..

Well, am I right in saying that if your tuning is right, and you have boost set at a reasonable level (which motor can handle), you can boost for pretty much as long as you want. Right? No? Yes? Am I on crack?

with the right set-up you should be able to do it, but with a car that wasnt designed for turbo, like mine.. i doubt it could handle it. my car runs hot when im under boost for a long time. the fans are on continuously.. im sure gsr's are better suited than my first gen. but those supras.. they can handle anything you throw at them....

To answer the question, however... I hate holding constant boost for more than 30 seconds... it just doesn't feel good to me!

Is it because the factory cooling system wasn't designed for turbo? Can anything be done to help the situation? I'm installing an aftermarked aluminum radiator to hopefully keep from having cooling problems. What about thermal coatings for valves, pistons, and combusion chambers? Any thoughts?

I have not had too many races with the turbo on, but my most recent race was with a 92-93 Mustang 5.0. We started at 50mph and went up to 110, pretty even for a while(my nose at his door almost the whole time) until we ran out of room.
We were neck and neck for about 1 to 1 1/2 minutes and I was at around 6psi almost the whole time.

can't really "boost" for a long time cuz' you'll run out of mph's haha
i once did a 80km/h-210km/h racing my friend's chevelle on the highway. i got a 5 car length jump on him but once i went in 5th...he started catching up and eventually passed me hahaha (stupid cat converter)
