Whats good piston compression for greddy turbo?
im building my bottom end. the guy who is gonna build it recommends going je 10:1. but "I always hear people going 9:1 and such what compression should i get. Not going for complete strip performance more like street daily driver performance. will not be boosting more then 12 lbs
Also what is the differnce between stock bore and 10 over or 20 over . thanks

Sure, that' stock compression of the gs-r anyhow but regardles to push the 12 psi is still going to require a decent fuel management and tuning.

Re: Whats good piston compression for greddy turbo? (boost killz)
If you want to play it safe.. and run higher boost levels at same time.. go with 9-1 or 9.5 to 1... higher compression sometimes is less forgiving.. as far as 10 over and 20 over.. i belive it refers to the boreing out of your cylinders in an attempt to get more displacement. With a turbo your increasing displacement with more oxygen present for combustion.
i wouldnt recommend overboreing because at some point your going to have such thin cylinder walls that you run the risk of cracking them under the pressure of the turbo and other stresses and strains. If you have your blocked sleeved, then you could prolly bore it out.. but again.. turbo... so why waste the money???
Stick with stock bore and lower your compression to 9-1 or 9.5-1, you'll lose a little low end power but under boost you can more than make up for it...

i like stock compression, u can alway label your car "high compression turbo motor"
especially with that greddy turbo...it'll help make more power
