What's a better SOHC turbo exhaust setup: custom 3" or pre-made system?
I'm trying to put together a better exhaust setup for my soon-to-be-turboed SOHC. Here's what I've got so far:
2.5" DP
flex pipe
3" carsound cat
3" piping to 3" Magnaflow turbo muffler
or
2.5" DP
flex pipe
3" carsound cat
3" Thermal or other
which setup seems better for a turbo d16y8? What about price? what would I be looking at for custom piping? mandrel bent of course.

CUSTOM is ALWAYS BETTER, i know cause i made mi full 3", and another full 3" for a 1.8T jetta, even looking at my pics compared to systems like GHL , custom eliminates un necessary bends, its cheaper if you DIY, and its custom so its made for one application, you can add extras like dump tube, extra bungs, side exit etc. 3" is the way to go on ANY turbo car, i made my ENTIRE 3" turboback for $250 with dump, 3 bungs, big flex and dynomax ultra flo welded muffler.
you can even buy the welder with gas for $500, spend 250$ on materials and still be cheaper than a ready made and you'll have the tools, 30 minutes of practice and youll be welding, either way custom is better
