Just like everything else. A good fuel setup (525cc injectors, 255 fuel pump, fuel management), GSR camshafts are good, LoveFab or Kamikazi Header and a good tuner

Your question is kind of vague... Is there any specific goal thing you will have in mind?

the best setup would be to throw the supercharger in a dumpster and get a turbo. Just my 2 cents.

but if your gonna do this here is what i would say.

jackson racing(or any roots style blower) for good low torque end but weak top end horsepower.

Vortech(or any centerfugal blower) for weaker low end torque but stronger high end horsepower. (plus can be intercooled, BOV)

jackson would be good if you don't like to rev high or just want extra torque under normal driving conditions. If you like to drop a gear and rev that bitch out get the vortech.

other then that i would just build the engine as if it was a turbochared engine that is gonna run about 8-10 psi

I had a supercharged type r with the AFC hack, No Hondata was available at the time.
I made 20 whp with a Kamikaze header and 2.5" carsound cat.
You can make 240 whp with Hondata, 440 cc injectors, a good ignition system and 8lb pulley.

the chargers poetentials are too limited, selling mine and planning out a turbo build now....do it right the first time

but if you already have your heart set on the charger, and are running more than 6 lbs boost, like say 10-11, consider the intercooler setup if you want to make any power, talk to john from LHT he has a good setup, and sells the intercooler.

what type of exhaust did you have behind the 2.5" Carsound when you got this 20whp gain?

Don't listen to the haters about S/C's, I love mine and I would not hesitate to buy another one.

As for the best set-up, if you are running stock boost(6lbs), stock internals and daily driving, here is what I have and recommend.

1) Hondata S100 with boost option or S200b
2) Walhboro 255 fuel pump and RC injectors (370's or 440's will work fine)
3) Kamikaze 2.5 header
4) CAI or shorty intake (shorty intake will give you better throttle response, CAI more power)
5) Stock GSR cams work great, but get some good cam gears(like Skunk 2 or equivalent) for even more tuning power
6) A great Hondata tuner, like Church Automotive in Torrance.

Good luck with your build-up...

Probably because you havn't driven a turbo car yet

I had a buddy tell me about his mad low end torque of his JRSC GSR, but I tore him a new one out of the hole and on the top end, with my little B16 and "laggy" T3/60-1.

Lets not turn this in a bash thread, but I have driven a couple of factory turbo cars, like my favorite, a Porsche 911 turbo, which you will probably never drive. And as for the your little B16, I wish you the best in your ventures.

would skunk2 stage 2 cams be to harsh of a cam to run with the supercharger considering the lack of mid to high end power with the charger???

As for those cams, I don't think they would be beneficial to a S/C'ed engine because those cams were designed for a N/A motor....but I could be wrong and the addition of cams gears plus tuning could provide gains far beyond that of normal stock cams.

You can check out http://www.theoldone.com (Endyn Racing) and also check out http://www.hostboard.com and look up Forced Induction Imports for more information on S/C'd engines...especially on what cams work and what doesn't....

Good luck...

I agree with everything Blue-Civic-Hybrid has to say.

And comparing a t3 60-1 turbo to a jrsc is kinda pointless. We are talking +400hp potential to +200hp.

Wanna compare? Compare a race: you and your turbo vs someone with a small turbo. At the same psi. I'd probably be the same outcome as your race against the jrsc. Now put the jrsc guy against the small turbo guy and you might be surprised.
