What would be a good Precision turbo for autox?
I've kinda lost interest in drag about a year ago when I started autox'ing. So far I have a D16 with a t3/t04b in the car now and it is a bit laggy. I understand a turbo of this size is not the best choice for this purpose, but would like some advice on a good/quick spooling turbo that has the potential of making 300hp.
Currently, I am in the process of changing my set-up with a B16 I have waiting to go in. The B16 is 81.5mm, Endyn 9.5ish:1 pistons, Full Race rods, Supertech valves with ITR valve springs on Intake and Exhaust side, along with GSR cams, and Hondata. I'm not sure the t3/t04b will give me what I want with this new set-up. I would like to run this set-up in autox and do a few road race events sometime next year, so a new turbo looks to be my last step.
I have read great things about Precision and would like to see if there is something they can offer for my purposes. Anybody have any ideas on what turbo would be good for this?
Thanks

ok, Garrett is nice. As originally asked, does Precision make anything comparable to those two?

Precision SC50 with a .48 a/r turbine housing and a Stage 2 wheel. It will spool up real fast. The Stage 3 wheel will add a little more power at the cost of some lag. The 50 trim T04E compressor has a huge efficiency window.

What about something like a SC34 or even a SC44? How would those compare as far as max power and spool?

I agree completely. It would spool awsome down low, but the flow of the compressor would keep a nice overall powerband (no droping off in upper RPM's). The 50 trim has the best efficency range out of the E series wheels.
The SC34, and SC44 would have comparable or even worse spool up than the Turbo you already have, assuming you get the .63 turbine.
IMO it's pretty much pointless to go with the SC34, or 44 with the .48 turbine instead of the SC50 with the .48.

Like I said earlier....GT28R for autoX. Precision makes it.
It will do much better than the above mentioned turbo's for autoX.

Re: (spooler)
Isn't that a Garrett though. Thanks for the info, I like the looks of that one too. I may look into that as well, just for the size. Thanks

Precision takes Garret components and improves on them with their own housings, and designs.
You can't go wrong with either...but Precision will be a-little more expensive, but you definetly get what you pay for.
