what would cause a wastegate to open early?
my tial 35mm .45bar wastegate is opening at .32 bar as indicated by my safc v2. i checked all couplings and the wastegate gasket and they are ok. i have a straight-through 2.5ID exhaust so there's really no restriction there. checked my compression also.. it's 195, 195, 200, 195 so it's looks ok there too. i don't think i have any vacuum leaks because my idle is fine at 750 +- 50rpm.
I think i have had full boost when i dyno'ed at 257whp and 195tq right after the turbo was installed.. but now i don't know what's going on... this is starting to **** me off

Is the vac line hooked up before the intake manifold, like possibly to the turbo? If so that could be the problem. You may be losing a couple pounds of pressure by the time it gets to the intake manifold or wherverer your safc is reading the boost.

I'm wondering about my afc...my boost guage says I'm running 6lbs, however my vafc registers .27 max....I'm confoosed, so I don't think the vafc is very accurate..

Re: (BSeriesTurbo)
ok, i just unplugged the my wg line so that it won't open.. big mistake!!! i overboosted to .64 kg/cm2.. ouch!!! good thing i didn't rev past 4500rpm... that and i'm currently running rich already... 11.5 afr . i'm gonna check my compression again just to be safe tho.
sooo... either my the reading on my safc v2 is wrong or something else is wrong

Re: (safe driver)
The wastegate is opening early cause you dont have a boost controller.
Also to help you can tap the vacuum source from the brake booster line--between the check valve and the manifold.
