Default what vaccum line is this? sorry, no pic!!

Okay, I'll try and explain this best I can. It is on the stock air intake tube right before it connects to the throttle body. I have a 4th gen vtec obd1, and I've noticed that it is not on the 5th gens. Anyway, it's a little hole that has a vaccum tube connected to it. It is not the one that is connected to the valve cover, but rather it is directly on top about an inch or so away from the throttle body. The vaccum line then runs into a plastic line which runs above the intake manifold and then into a silver unit that resides between the valve cover and the intake manifold. I am putting the turbo on and I'm not sure what to do with this line. Should I just plug it or should I weld a fitting onto the new intake tube and attach it there? I'm wondering because I'm not sure if that silver unit is meant to operate in vaccum and I'm unsure what will happen if it registeres boost. thanks a lot guys!

hook it up to a boost gauge and see if it reads it the same as any other vacume line. Thats the easiest way to find out.

It goes to your starting air valve. Just leave the line unplugged. Don't plug it or you will have idle problems. The starting air valve lets in a small amount of air to make the car easier to start.

so should I connect it to the intake tube then? Or would it be best just to leave it?

When you go turbo, remove the line completely from the car.

So remove the vaccum line completly off the valve nipple? So there should only be the nipple left then right and it would just suck in the air from the engine bay? Thanks again man.
