What turbo is this? Evans Tuning Vid
I was looking on the Evans Tuning website and I came across the Fugiwara ToFu fun video, which is of the DA GSR and the EG Hatch cruising around.
The turbo on the DA is extremely loud, and if I'm not mistaken the forum said it was a GT3071, which I didn't think was that large of a turbo. Why is the turbo so loud?
I know I know, "only ricers want the turbo sound", but considering I do have a turbo kit installed on my car, I just want to know why the hell it's so loud

It's the anti surge housing as adseguy pointed out, and be aware that while it does help eliminate compressor surge on a setup where that is a problem, it also costs you spool and top end power on a setup where you have no surge at all, vs. a standard housing. Only run it if you need it.

Wouldn't that usually be used on larger turbo's though? I.E. 60mm + I didn't think the 3071 was any larger than most T3/T4?
Anyone got any pics or any websites where I can find out more info? I don't plan on getting it, I don't think my little 2.0 could handle any more lag than the 60-1 is going to give it

It depends, if you're running a 50-trim on a 2.0 litre motor like DSM's they're known to surge at low RPM's at higher boost, so it's not just limited to big comp wheels.
