what turbo to buy
ok i have a few ?'s that i need answered so bare with me, i got back $5000 for taxes and wanna know what would be the the right turbo kit to go with,my car is 1994 ls w/ gsr swap. i have a greddy evo2 muffler, http://www.xenocron.com ecu, vafc controller, 255fuel pump already. i wanna be around 300+ for my goals and i have been looking and cant decide what kit would be good. i also want fast spool time too and something that bolt right in. i also know i will have to send my ecu back to have the kknock sensor added back in and re-tuned for what all i have added. i have looked at the greddy kit but from what i read 310 injectors are not even close enough for my goals. i have looked at the kits on jegs.com and they dont say what turbo they come with or if it comes with inj, piggy-back i just want a kit that comes with everything! also do i really need a s300 if i got a chipped ecu and just get a fmu i also have seen some 525cc inj. on http://www.xenocron.com for $279 and those are more than good for my goals, what do you guys think, i want it to last dont want it to be breaking on me either and be happy that i spent what i did and be able to do it all myself but then tuning get done by a pro here in mich right after! thanks in advance every1,

you dont need the vafc and a chipped ecu. i wouldnt send the ecu out to have it programed you need to take it to someone that can tune it for you on a dyno or on the street if you want it to be reliable. i would recommend you get some dsm 440cc injectors or bigger for the power goal you have. the turbo you could get a t3/t04e 57 trim or maybe a gt28r both would have good spool times, but the gt28 would be a little faster, and both are capable of 300+whp

t3/t4 57 trim, with any decent setup will get you to 300hp. 7 psi should put you around where you want to be, and there is always room to go up as well.

Also don't run an fmu, get the car tuned. Talk to your local tuner about what he likes to use. Don't buy a kit from jegs, those kits are over priced.

Re: (nihad)
well now i am down to just over $4500 left from taxes, i would like to buy a complete kiti dont wanna be running into a bunch of different things at the last minute that i find out i need, i seen that treadstoneperformance has a t3/t4 kit w/o inj. or a piggy-back to where i could get a s300, i know that i should look into the 525cc inj. for my setup. as for my ecu i already have it from when i first bought the car but from my understanding they take the knock sensor out which i have been told i need to have it! it is just that i cant have him tune the chip that is in it or get another 1 tuned for my setup is that gonna be good enough to relie on it to last or no?i have done some searching for these but didnt find any luck. as for the guy selling a kit, what all is missing to be a complete kit? also i went onto rcautoworks and didnt see a kit on there!

Check the Sponsor's Marketplace and you'll find a lot of good parts at reasonable prices. After learning of the Marketplace, i dont go anywhere else for Honda parts. Also, those of you who are recommending setups, please stay away from strictly recommending brands because this doesn't need to end up being a Brand A vs Brand B debate. There are several good companies who sell great parts in the Marketplace...make your own decision
