what turbine should spool faster?
what turbine should spool faster and have the least amount of back pressure?
t3 .63 a/r
t3 .82 a/r
t4 .58 a/r
t4 .68 a/r
assuming the compressor side is a sc61, what would you select for a semi reponsive street car with big top end power?

What size wheel! why does everyone on H-T ignore this!
T3 could = stg 1, stg 2, stg 3, or stg 5? and I think Precision or ITS has a stg4
T4 I don't know **** about and is probably too big anyway.
I would guess you would want the stg 3 T3 in a .63 housing. Your first sentence makes no sense. Response and flow are enemys in turbine selection, you are trying to find a happy medium.

what are u talking about? backpressure will always exsist unless u have open 4 inch downpipe. I guess since backpressure also affects spool time, then the way i worded the question makes it sound redundant.

A T3 .63 with a stage 5 wheel will come on faster than a t4 .58. My vote goes for a t3 .63 stage 5 mated to a sc61. Its the exact turbo I went back to from my pt67 T4 .58. I would go with that unless you want more than 550whp.

I'm talking about helping you find a turbine (restriction) that will meet your needs (spool time/power). Forget about the DP and exhaust. we are talking about turbine selection. If you don't realize how choosing the turbine is a compromize, how the hell did you come up with the options you listed, which really aren't options anyway because you circumvent the most importent spec, wheel size.

The quicker the spool the more the backpressure. The slower the spool the less backpressure. A T4 exhaust side even with a P-trim wheel is way overkill for a 1.6L honda thati s going to be driven on the street.

I would guess the stage 3. From what I have read, assuming those two sizes are very close, you would want to pick the bigger wheel and lower a/r. Unfortunately I don't know the rational behind this so I have no real tech to add. maybe someone can fill us in...
