what are some symptoms of bad injector o-rings?
My car's idle is fluctuating up and down....irratic idling is more of the problem. I thought the o2 sensor might of been bad, but no difference. I unplugged the IACV plug and ran it and no difference. Still irratic idling from 500-1500 RPM's constantly when idle. But ONLY when the engine is hot or been run in for a bit. I cleaned the coolant temperature sensor and a little help, but no luck. This only happens when the engine has been run for a bit. If I start it in the morning, it idles fine...drives perfect. TPS is working properly. It definately sounds like a vacuum problem but I have no leaks. Someone said it MIGHT be the spring to the BOV since I can feel air coming out of the BOV but when I cover the outlet with my hand, it idles how it should...Maybe the spring is messed up? I'm not too sure...What could it be? Maybe the spark plugs? Help please..

Bad injector rings may spritz fuel in your face. Most likely they will leak onto your IM and it will smell very strongly of fuel.
Your problem sounds like the FITV under the throttle body. If you don't have one then a vacuum leak some where else on your IM.

Yeah..They're a heavy smell inside the cabin if the windows are down when I drive.
You said that it might be the FITV. But can won't it idle irratically when the engine is cold also? It doesn't make sense how it only idles irractically when the engine has been driven for a while.
Thanks for the help though. Any other suggestions/opinions?
Thanks.

First off, a vacuum problem can best be diagnosed by getting a vacuum gauge and hooking it up to the manifold.
Second, spray WD-40 or carb cleaner on the possible vacuum leak points while the car is running and see if the idle jumps when you spray. The location you sprayed is the source of your leak.
If you suspect the BOV, disconnect it from the vacuum source.

If you have a bad injector o-ring you will see fuel come out of the rail. If you see or feel fuel coming out of the rail, do not drive it till you fix it. Sounds like you may have a vac leak somewhere or your idle control motor is shot.
